Ovation TV, America’s premier arts network, is set to celebrate the holiday season with a fun linear lineup of holiday movies as well as free, specially curated programming on the Ovation NOW app starting on December 1. With Nutcracker productions, the premiere of The Story of Santa, and films starring Natasha Henstridge (The Christmas Switch), Jay Mohr (Christmas Do Over), Wee Man (Elf-Man), and Linda Hamilton (Home by Christmas), the holiday season on Ovation is sure to be bright.
Ovation’s free programming destination Art House, on the Ovation NOW app, will be home to fan favorite Nutcracker productions like The Nutcracker by Kader Belarbi (2021), The Nutcracker: Mariinsky (2012), and Snow Queen (2020), alongside documentaries Getting to the Nutcracker (2014) and The Art Of: Holidays, an Ovation original production.
Special holiday movies will be available, free to all, on the Ovation NOW app. Titles include:
A Bennett Song Holiday (2020): The unique Bennett-Song family learns the true meaning of the holidays as they solve a community crisis and adapt to big changes.

A Christmas Star (2015): When a developer threatens Noelle’s peaceful life, she and her friends use her gift of performing miracles to thwart his plans and save their village.
Christmas Staycation (2015): A stubborn father-in-law, angry wife, an un-shoveled driveway, broken windows, broken toilets, toppled Christmas tree, dog eating the Christmas dinner, and a grandfather stuck in the chimney all make for a hilarious and highly relatable Christmas comedy.
The Christmas Switch (2014): Through Eddie’s wit and guile, he gives Sam that last night and finally finds the real meaning of Christmas the gambler’s way.
A Christmas Village (2018): To save her reputation, Piper agrees to work for the owner of the failing Santa’s Village. While working there, she rediscovers the magic of Christmas.
Elfette Saves Christmas (2019): Elfette must save Christmas when Santa Claus is kidnapped by the Mafia.
Elf-Man (2012): A mischievous elf discovers his true identity as he tries to save a scientist from being kidnapped by a gang.
The Gift of Christmas (2020): A Kentucky family comes together for a Christmas Eve church concert.
Home by Christmas (2006): After Julie leaves her cheating husband, she ends up destitute and living in her car and must fight to rebuild her life.
Homeless for the Holidays (2009): With Christmas around the corner, a smug executive loses his job and winds up working at a burger place to support his family, struggling to pay his bills.
The Key to Christmas (2020): When a disgruntled elf takes over the North Pole, she turns time backward, and Santa Claus begins getting younger — quickly. Now it’s up to a loyal elf, a little girl with a magic key, and the now-teenage Santa to save the future of Christmas.
The Least of These: A Christmas Story (2018): Rose, a homeless single mother, and her young daughter Katy discover hope in a small-town diner. They are befriended by a feisty waitress, a big-hearted short-order cook, and a storefront Santa that gets served a valuable lesson in forgiveness.
A Match Made at Christmas (2021): Romantic, small-town girl Holly, and realist, career-driven Chris aren’t a likely pair, but when Holly’s all-knowing great-aunt “matches” them, they don’t seem to have much of a choice.
Miracle on Christmas (2020): As they struggle with their faith, a family experiences an unexpected miracle when a mysterious stranger arrives during Christmastime.
A Miracle on Christmas Lake (2016): A teenager heads to the pond where he and his best friend, now deceased, used to play hockey together. He’s shocked to discover a magical, perfectly groomed rink, which only appears at night and in his presence.
My Best Friend’s Christmas (2019): When a woman returns home to find her ex in a relationship, she enlists her best friend to act as her fake boyfriend.
My First Miracle (2017): In this touching and inspirational tale, a teenage girl battles a rare form of cancer and makes a wish to discover what true love feels like.
Our Dream Christmas (2017): A woman from Mississippi tries to bring her family to Los Angeles so she can spend Christmas with her dying mother.
Santa’s Boot Camp (2016): Santa’s elves go on strike, exasperated with bratty, self-centered kids. Santa brings six mischievous kids to the North Pole in an effort to reform them, satisfy the elves’ demands and save Christmas.
Saving Santaland (2020): Sparks fly between a famous model and a farmer with a young daughter when she visits her childhood home. The town is in danger of losing their beloved Santaland festival, but miracles can happen with a little love, family, and faith.
The Shadow Island Mysteries: Last Christmas (2010): An aspiring mystery author attends a family gathering arranged by her grandfather, who announces he has prepared a puzzle, with his entire inheritance going to the first one to solve it. However, when he immediately drops dead, she realizes there is more to this game than meets the eye.
